ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº provides primary school education to children aged 5-12 and our lessons aim to cover every aspect of the Broad General Education as set out in Curriculum for Excellence.
Forest View Primary School follows therapeutic, trauma-informed practice and is located off-campus in Lochwinnoch. The scenic, rural setting designed not only to be a place of learning but also somewhere children can explore outdoors and have fun.
We recognise every child is different and our provision is tailored to suit the needs of each child, in line with . Our Specialist Intervention Services provide therapeutic and psychological support for children.
Intensive Support
Pupils benefit from a rich learning environment and a lot of one-to-one support from teachers, classroom support workers and child & youth care workers. This is particularly helpful for those affected by trauma or displaying challenging behaviour.
Primary Curriculum
We deliver a range of exciting learning opportunities and activities to help keep children engaged in the learning process. Our planning is individualised, and the learning experiences are tailored to the social, emotional and sensory needs of each child. Learning also takes place during breaks and playtimes and we pay close attention to experiences and outcomes which focus on health and wellbeing.
Reintegration into Mainstream Education
Our aim for all young people attending school at ËÄ»¢Ó°Ôº is to give them the support, knowledge and skills required to reintegrate into mainstream education, ideally in a school in their home community. While this will prove too difficult for some, it is our aspiration for all.
